What would you say to those closest to you if you knew you had a week left? Moses knew he would not enter the promised land, and he spent those last days on one thing: making sure the new generation knew the truth about the past. That scene opens a sermon about the sixth chapter of Deuteronomy (Deuteronomy 6). The whole generation that left Egypt had died in the desert and their children barely remembered it, so Moses told the parents to write God’s words into the ordinary routine of the home. Listen if you do not want faith to stop with your generation.
