A passenger who missed his plane phoned in a false alarm to stop it from taking off, and paid for that moment of foolishness with ten months in custody. That story opens a reflection on Matthew 25 and its three parables: the ten bridesmaids, the talents, and the judgement of the nations (Matthew 25). The sermon shows that some things simply cannot be borrowed from anyone, and that in the life of faith the most dangerous word is often “later”. Listen and ask yourself whether you are ready for a meeting whose day and hour no one knows.
