In the summer of 1971 a sixteen-year-old went along with a friend to an electronics club meeting and met an older engineering student, and out of that chance conversation grew a company that changed the world. That story opens a look at Saul of Tarsus, who set out on his own road to Damascus and met there the One who called himself the way (Acts 9). The message shows that living life on our own terms, religiously or not religiously at all, is still two sides of the same coin, and that God can call a person by name in the very middle of their rebellion. Listen, and ask yourself whether you are ready to pay the price for the road He offers.

Jesus entrusted us with the task of spreading the Good News of salvation to the ends of the earth. However, we are not the first to carry out this mission. Therefore, as we seek inspiration for action, we want to learn from those who were there at the very beginning-by turning to the Book of Acts.
As we read it, we discover that despite numerous adversities, the Gospel proclaimed in the power of the Holy Spirit is unstoppable. It breaks through one barrier after another and transforms people’s lives-often those of the least expected.
The Acts of the Apostles is a book in which a great deal truly happens. It’s worth reading so that something might happen in your life as well-and in the lives of the people God places in your path.
