If you had a button that let you skip the hard years of life and land straight in the pleasant parts, could you resist pressing it? That is exactly the offer Satan makes to Jesus in the wilderness: bread without waiting, glory without risk, all the kingdoms of the world without the cross (Matthew 4). The message shows a king who refuses shortcuts, who will not use his power to make his own life easier, and who does not obey the Father in order to get something in return. Listen if you want to see what a king looks like when God himself is the reward.

A King Like No Other
Jesus is a King unlike any other. Not only did He enter our history, but He also wants us to get to know Him through what He does and what He says. Thanks to Him, we can also learn what God is like and what He expects of us. And when we get to know Jesus, we want to become more like Him.
