A Mission to Rescue the Lost

Łódź Adam Jurga 25.08.2024 Sermon 15 of 16

Eight soldiers head deep into France to find a single private, and not one of them believes the mission makes sense. That scene opens a reflection on the book of Jonah (Jonah 1-4): a prophet who ran from God not out of fear, but because he did not want mercy shown to his enemies. The sermon asks what to do when God sends us to people we find hard to love, and reminds us that people always matter most to God, even the most lost ones. Listen, and ask yourself who your Nineveh is today.

Engage – Get Involved

Everyone would like their life to be part of a greater story-one that is not only good but also gives their life meaning. That’s why, throughout the summer, we’ll be listening to stories about various figures from the Bible who, despite their complicated life stories, chose to become part of God’s plans. “Join In” is an invitation to each of us to find our own place in God’s story as well.
