A newspaper invited well known writers to answer the question of what is wrong with the world. Chesterton is said to have sent in the shortest essay in the history of the press, made of one word: me. That anecdote opens a sermon about the third chapter of Romans (Romans 3). Paul draws up exactly the same account, concludes that there is not one righteous person, and then points to the only way out, which is not better results but being justified by grace and receiving it through faith. Listen if you are worn out by having to prove that you are good enough.
