A terrified man hides in a winepress, threshing wheat in secret so the enemy will not take his last grain, and right then he hears: the Lord is with you, mighty warrior. The sermon follows Gideon, the youngest son of the poorest family in the least significant clan, whose first battle is fought not against Midian but over a true picture of God and of himself (Judges 6-7). It turns out the fear never quite goes away, and God leads him step by step anyway. Listen if you think victory is reserved for other people.
