Why is it so easy to slip back into old patterns once the first excitement of faith fades? This message turns to Colossians (Colossians 3) and shows that lasting change begins not with tidying up the outside, but with a changed mind and learning to see yourself the way the Father sees you. It also raises an uncomfortable question about our own part: what the Holy Spirit does in us, and what He will not do instead of us. Listen, if you are tired of changes that never last longer than a few weeks.
Lasting Change
Responsible
Andy Stanley once said, “Your lack of responsibility will eventually become someone else’s responsibility.” In other words, if you don’t take responsibility for what has been entrusted to you, someone else will have to take that responsibility for you. A wise life is one in which we don’t shift the blame onto others but face challenges head-on; we don’t burden others with the need to hold our hands, but instead become a source of support for others ourselves.
