Remember, you are a Johnson, a father repeated those words to his son every time he left the house, and they open this reflection on how a person actually changes. The sermon rejects two easy answers: passively waiting for God to do everything for us, and the race of religious practice in which the winner is whoever reads, prays and gives the most. Instead it leads to the vineyard of Isaiah 5 and to the image of the vine in John 15, where everything depends on whether the branch remains in the vine. Listen if you know that hunger for holiness and are tired of repeating the same mistakes.

What Does Spiritual Mean?
What do we mean when we say that something is “spiritual” or not? In today’s world, this word has taken on a multitude of meanings and associations. Meanwhile, Scripture shows us that everything we do with our lives is spiritual in nature, “whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31) and should reflect His nature. How, then, can what we do reflect the Trinitarian nature of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?
