Apocalypse: Complicated Things Made Clear

Łódź Mac Johnson 07.11.2021 Sermon 1 of 6

Are you afraid to open the Book of Revelation, or, on the contrary, do you try to decode its every little detail? Mac Johnson shows that the Greek word ‘apocalypse’ does not mean catastrophe but unveiling, making complicated things clear. The first chapter of Revelation (Revelation 1) reveals God who rules over history, Christ present among his churches, and us, made a kingdom and priests, even in times of suffering. Listen and look at your complicated reality through this simple lens: God wins.

Before It Comes

The Book of Revelation stirs up strong emotions. However, contrary to popular belief, it does not contain a coded blueprint for the future, but rather changes our perspective on the present. It speaks of the problems and challenges that Christians have faced throughout history-and that we, too, are facing. And all of this is so that, as we go through life, we may prepare ourselves each day for the second coming of Jesus.
