James takes us for a walk through the city: first a grand house behind a high fence, then the cramped room of a labourer whose wages were withheld, and finally a home lost in court. That picture opens a reflection on the fifth chapter of James (James 5), a text about a world full of injustice and about the cry of the wronged that truly reaches God.
