A little girl was swinging so high that adults held their breath, and when asked whether she was frightened she calmly answered that she was swinging together with Jesus. Children can trust in a way that strikes adults as unreasonable. That story opens a sermon about the tenth chapter of Mark (Mark 10). Jesus says there that the kingdom of God must be received like a child, and immediately afterwards he meets a rich man who walks away sad, because he had too much to leave anything behind. Listen if you want to count honestly what following Jesus costs.
