Before There Is No Tomorrow

Tomaszów Maz. Rafał Piekarski 08.09.2019 Sermon 1 of 4

Maciek carries a torch, a foil blanket, water purification tablets and Bible verses, and has two barrels of supplies buried in the woods, in case there is no tomorrow. From this portrait of Polish preppers the sermon moves to the words of the apostle Peter: the end of all things is near (1 Peter 4). It turns out that the preparation Peter writes about looks nothing like what we might expect, it is fervent love, hospitality and service. Listen, and along the way you will hear the story of one supper after thirty-two years of silence.

Grateful and Generous

Gratitude and generosity are inseparable. Happy people are usually those who are grateful for what they have. And the more grateful we are and the more we rejoice in what we have received, the more we want to share with others so that they, too, may experience that joy. So how can gratitude and generosity manifest themselves in different areas of our lives? We’ll explore this in a series of sermons titled “Grateful and Generous.”
