A few days before a wedding in Boston the groom backed out, and the deposit for the reception in a luxury hotel could not be recovered. The bride then made a decision nobody expected: she sent the invitations to homeless shelters, and in June nineteen ninety people used to scavenging ate a fine dinner served by waiters in suits.
