What do you see? I see an old, sick woman, says one, and the small boy beside him answers that he sees a grandmother who bakes the best cheesecake in the world. I see an unbearable child, says a passenger on a train, and the mother answers that she sees a son who lost his father two weeks ago. That game opens a sermon about the healing of the man born blind (John 9). The disciples saw an interesting case for a debate about who had sinned, and Jesus saw a person, because the worst blindness is blindness to your own. Listen if you want to test what you actually see when you look at people.
