After the most famous goal of his career Maradona said it was scored a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God. The line went down in football history and captures the temptation to weave God into a story in which we remain the main character. That remark opens a sermon about Solomon’s dedication of the temple (1 Kings 8). The king stood before the people, but instead of speaking about himself he knelt down and admitted that the finest building cannot contain God.
