A married couple were wondering whether to sell their flat, and both claimed they had heard an answer from God about it. The trouble was that each of them had heard something different. That story opens a sermon about the third chapter of Proverbs (Proverbs 3). The writer says there to trust in the Lord with all your heart and not to lean on your own understanding, and that sentence sounds simple right up until you have to apply it to an actual decision.
