Two men get lost in the same forest. One sits down and waits for things to clear up, the other starts searching, retraces his own steps, asks around, and after some hours reaches the road. That picture opens a sermon about the second chapter of Proverbs (Proverbs 2). The writer says there that wisdom must be sought like silver and dug for like hidden treasure, because nobody wakes up wise overnight, and the fear of the Lord is only the beginning of that road. Listen if you want to stop waiting for wisdom and start looking for it.

We want to learn not only about the history of his reign, but also to discover the timeless wisdom hidden in his Proverbs. And all of this is so that we may know how to live wisely and end our lives wisely.
