In February nineteen ninety, five walkers left the marked trail in the Tatra mountains, because the short cut looked sensible and they were all going together. None of them came back. That story opens a sermon about the fifth chapter of Proverbs (Proverbs 5). A father warns his son there about a road that tastes like honey at the start and ends in bitterness, and he does it not to take away his joy but to save his life and his home.
